Uniswap Scam by Advertising Fake Uniswap website!
- Google is advertising fake uniswap website or say advertising uniswap phishing strategies
- Initial data shows theft have taken around 1.5 ETH.
- Such fraudulent results are not shown on other search engines.
Uniswap is the decentralized exchange which comes in the form of two smart contracts that is hosted on the Ethereum blockchain along with public – open-source front end clients. It is a 100% on-chain market maker that allows swapping of ERC20 tokens along with ETH to the ERC20 and vice versa.
So how does it work?
Uniswap is the exchange protocol that allows users to swap ERC20 tokens. Rather than using such a traditional book model, uniswap pools tokens into smart contracts and users trade against all these liquidity pools. Anyone can swap tokens, add tokens to the pool for earning fees, or the list the token on uniswap.
But beware of scam going on!
Yes, the official site of uniswap is uniswap.org, but there is another live website going on having the same name with .com extensions. They ask for login and when people log in they take their tokens. This uniswap scam is going on by advertising the fake website of uniswap.

So be aware of this scam. This scam not only leads to losing tokens but also, theft of data, token theft, login credentials theft, etc.
How can you be aware of such scams?
There is only one thing to keep in mind is that whenever you go for login, make sure that everyone on that particular link is declared as official. And if it is not, just never try to log in there. Make sure the site you are using for uniswap is the official site of it.
